(July 1, 2010 -- Fresno, CA) The National Baseball Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for The Buck O'Neil Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award honors an individual whose extraordinary efforts enhanced baseball's positive impact on society, broadened the game's appeal, and whose character, integrity and dignity are comparable to the qualities exhibited by O'Neil.
The Nisei Baseball Research Project (NBRP) is spearheading a campaign to nominate Kenichi Zenimura (1900-1968), the Father of Japanese American Baseball, the perfect recipient of this award.
You Can Help Nominate Zenimura...
for the Buck O’Neil award with sixty seconds, a signature and a stamp.
Nominations for the Buck O’Neil Award must be submitted via standard U.S. mail. Electronic submissions are not accepted. With that, we have prepared a letter for your convenience to help us nominate Zenimura.
